Marine Emission Technology – ME-Tech is an independent Maritime partner within Certification, emission measurements and Engine survey. We support and execute test related to IMO Marpol Annex VI, ISO Standard 8178 or EPA 40 CFR 1065 and take the necessary steps for approval with the relevant classification society. We conduct all our measurements according to the relevant regulations.

Emission Measurements
ME-Tech perform certified emission measurements according to IMO’s MARPOL annex VI (NTC2008) and ISO standard 8178 etc.
Following gaseous species: NOx, O2, CO, CO2, SO2 and HC using recognized principles.
Particle emissions such as particulate matter (PM), opacity or black carbon (BC) using filter smoke number (FSN).
Energy Efficiency eXisting ship Index
IMO (MEPC76) have adopted the Energy Efficiency eXisting ship Index (EEXI) to reduce greenhouse gas emission from ships. The EEXI enter into force1st of January 2023.
The new procedures require all ships above 400gt to calculate their Energy Efficiency eXisting ship Index (EEXI). The requirement enter into force 1st of January 2023.
Carbon Intensity Index (CII)
The Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) will be required for Cargo, Cruise and From 2023, the CII requirements will take effect for all cargo, RoPax and cruise vessels above 5,000 GT and trading internationally.
Four Guidelines (G1, G2, G3, G4) have beeen developed for Carbon Intensity Index.
